The Hands That Feed Us

Directed by Devon Cooke
Documentary | 2025 | 114 min
Filmmaker Devon Cooke crosses Canada to find out how farmers make money. As he works alongside them on an array of farms, it becomes clear that farmers find a true sense of wealth in stewarding the land. But it is also unearthed that many farmers need to work off-farm to survive. Devon goes in search of a solution. Is our fragile food security about to collapse, or can we adopt a different economy where family farmers can afford the cost of growing our food?
